The tenets of our philosophy are as follows:
The tenets of our philosophy are as follows:
To create within all children a respect for others and self;
To support and encourage children in their natural curiosity about all things;
To facilitate children's creative needs and tendencies by providing tools and materials;
To listen as children share their experiences, ideas and opinions;
To model for children that adults other than parents can be loving and trustworthy;
To share the concept of God's plan for each of us in relation to our surroundings;
To guide children as they grow more aware of the world around them;
To provide experiences that will enhance readiness skills;
To foster decision-making processes by providing choices, asking thought provoking questions and evaluating options;
And last, but not least, to be a mommy or daddy away from home-to wipe noses, to give hugs, to bandage skinned knees and to repair broken hearts!
It is our purpose, therefore, to help children develop socially, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, using our knowledge, skills, resources, equipment and experience.
